A Sampling of my Photoshop material.
This image was created using the photo reference shot of a Crystal Head vodka bottle.
Later I was able to use the photos of the skull as one of the elements in a project about the supposed history of the Crystal Skulls.
The Jellyfish Postcard was developed as a sample advertising piece. It began with the image of the jellyfish and ideas of paint or ink in water. The project later turned into an advert for a local aquarium as a progression of that thinking.
This piece was created as part of an imagined literacy campaign, called the Discover Books Project. The form of Don Quixote springs to life from the pages of the book, imagining windmills to be giants needing to be slain.
This was a project to design a poster, and my theme was space exploration. It is a precursor to the Virgin Galactic themed pieces, and was produced in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. The quote is from John F. Kennedy’s famous “We choose to go to the moon” speech from 1962. In the poster, we see an arc of light that travels from the earth to the moon and marks the point of the Apollo 11 moon landing. A second arc retraces the first, flying past the moon towards a future landing on The Red Planet, Mars. The beam arcs off into the great unknown of space.
