Adverts for Licks Hamburgers, which were Printed in Chill Magazine.
As part of a series of print-based advertisements done in a food and beverage magazine, I developed barbecue-themed ads pairing the restaurant’s food products with beer and summer fun. The print ads borrowed themes from our Facebook covers to give consistency and provide linkages to the overall theme of the advertising message. These Ads ran in the 2013 May / June and July / August issues.
The first of the two the “A Perfect PAIR” ad, I developed almost solely on my own, knowing only that I needed to produce an ad for a magazine. I used the element of the burger, which was one I had made based off of one of the companies original image assets, and found a series of flame images which I edited into a dynamic looking gout of flame. Trying to think of summer and meals with burgers the idea of a drink came to mind and I added a pilsner glass which felt perfect in the piece. The only element of the ad which was revised was the text. “A Perfect PAIR. You won’t want to share.”
